Many people in Fiji live with serious heart conditions that can be treated. What stands in the way is not medicine, but access. Without specialist care, families face pain, uncertainty, and loss. Each year, a volunteer medical mission travels to Fiji to deliver life-saving heart care that would otherwise be unavailable. For a short time, operating theatres, clinics, and hospital wards are filled with dedicated professionals united by one purpose—to help patients who have no other option.
Volunteers are at the heart of every mission. We recruit cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, anaesthetists, nurses, technicians, and clinical support staff who generously give their time and expertise. Alongside them, dedicated support volunteers help ensure every mission runs safely and efficiently.
The work is demanding but deeply rewarding, requiring skill, compassion, and teamwork at every stage. Long days are balanced by the knowledge that every procedure, every clinic, and every patient interaction helps change the course of someone's life.
No mission succeeds alone.
